Illinois Archaeology: The Deep Roots of the Prairie State
Illinois Archaeology: The Deep Roots of the Prairie State is a traveling exhibit from the Illinois State Archaeological Survey that explores where and how people have lived in Illinois over the past 12,500 years. Using archaeological evidence, the exhibit examines how climate change, conflict, and new technologies shaped life across the state over thousands of years.
Schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations can host the exhibit at no cost for four to six weeks. ISAS provides transportation, setup, and takedown. Host sites must meet the exhibit’s staffing, display, and insurance requirements. To inquire about availability or book the exhibit, please contact Dan Bartlett.
