General Interest/Area of Focus

Stephanie Daniels is part of the curation staff at ISAS as well as being a lithic analyst. Curation duties include managing the Charles J. Bareis Documents Collection, keeping current with all professional journals and books, and assisting staff with documents requests. Collections management duties include maintaining databases and supervising cataloging of all slides and maps. Stephanie’s lithic analysis has been centered mostly on Mississippian sites. She analyzed lithic material for the East St. Louis site and is currently working on an Upper Mississippian site. Stephanie has also analyzed Late Woodland sites, including the Rosewood Site.

Memberships/Awards/Accomplishments

Stephanie presented a paper at the Midwest Archaeological Conference on the results of the lithic analysis of the East St. Louis Site.
